No “Toxic Topic Glenn “Jeff Martin” Beck, there is no element of truth to these things you are told…

Willy, have YOU sat on any committees for the mayor?

Well, Willy is right. There are “facts” yet unspoken. Not only will Jean see, but so will all others see why Willy has been playing a game of charades. Here is a Greensburg Daily News article dated November 13, 2010 and it indicates why my inquiry put him on edge….

http://greensburgdailynews.com/local/x5529681…

The caption for the picture states … “Alma Taylor Foundation President Bob Rynard presents a check for $6,000 [...] as part of the foundation’s downtown grant program. Mayor Gary Herbert and Alma Taylor Foundation board member Willy Wilhoit [is] also pictured.”

Again, I ask, “Is there an element of truth to these things that I’m told?”

Maybe if Jeff lived in Greensburg he would not have to rely on hearsay.

The Alma Taylor Foundation is a private foundation and the members and directors are not appointed by the Mayor or any other government individual or entity.  Willy is on the Board of Directors of the Alma Taylor Foundation, but he was not appointed by the Mayor. Not only that, but the ATF does not receive any tax dollars from the City or County, it is privately funded. The Mayor, one city county council person and one county commissioner are ex-officios on the Board of the ATF but they do not have a vote.

Perhaps Jeff is confusing the ATF with another organization…or perhaps he just doesn’t know what he is talking about.

To my knowledge, Willy has not been appointed to any committee by the Mayor nor has he sat on any committees for the Mayor.  If Jeff know something the rest of us don’t, please give us the name of the committee and the dates Willy “sat” on the committee.

It is Jeff Martin that is playing a game of charades without facts…and it is his unsubstantiated innuendo and allegations that starts rumors that are damaging to our community…

The ATF is not a secret organization, anyone can visit their website to learn more about the organization. This year $10,000 was awarded to Game Plan and $10,000 was awarded to the Hair Factory to renovate the exterior of their building, and the building looks great! So is there a beef concerning the grants the ATF made this year Jeff?

Not that it matters…

“Glenn Jeff Martin Beck” posted this on the Toxic Topic forum:

“Laura Welborn’s system administrator, Denver Sullivan, had posted that disussion of a political nature would no longer be tolerated. Some persisted in posting about the airport issue. It was (Mayor Herbert advisor) Rick Fayette and (aviation board member) Jim Pruett’s wife, Mimi Pruett, that made the most noise. In fact, both posted comments to effect that, “If some can’t follow the administrator’s rules, then their privileges should be suspended.” It was then that Jeff Martin, among others, was banned from the Daily News community forum.

Rick … Advising Denver Sullivan is, in effect, the same as advising Laura Welborn. Denver is an employee and Laura is ultimately responsible. Your (and Mimi’s) advice was heeded and acted upon. The shoe fits and the following accurately describes the consequence of your (and Mimi’s) intent …”

Not that it matters but you are totally wrong.

I did not persist in posting about the airport issue.  As soon as Laura said it would not be allowed I stopped. Mimi, (like you), lost her privilege to post (banned) when she continued to violate the forum TOS and didn’t stop posting about prohibited topics.

Prior to the time discussion of the airport and politics was prohibited, I did post after several threads were removed by Denver that in my singular opinion Denver should not remove entire threads because one individual that posted in the thread could not follow the forum rules.  I did feel that posters that didn’t follow the rules should lose their privileges rather than having entire threads removed or having a new policy prohibiting discussion of the airport and politics. The GDN management didn’t listen to me and continued to delete entire threads, people continued to post about prohibited topics and violate other parts of the TOS until they finally decided to ban discussion on the airport and politics. At that point most of the people that still had privileges to post left the forum.

I have no influence over Denver or Laura or anyone else on their management team. Those accusations are way out in left field. And frankly speaking life has gone on without the GDN forums.

More false information…

Jeff Martin (Toxic Topic “Glenn Beck”) posted this comment:

“Shame on Rick Fayette for advising Laura to eliminate certain people from participation on the Greensburg Daily News forum when the airport topic got too testy. “

Rick Fayette confirmed the statement is absolutely false. He had nothing to do with the decisions made concerning the Greensburg Daily News forum. He never advised Laura in any way concerning the forum.  He has not even spoken to Laura for over a year.

In fact the opposite is true, he sent one email to the GDN asking them to reconsider their decision and changes in the forum, and never received a reply so he moved on.

Where did Klosterkemper get the “Happy Penis Massage Cream”?

Someone left the half empty bottle of “Happy Penis Massage Cream” on HIS desk at the street department.

Gets more interesting all the time…

So does the same rules and standards apply?

there should be someone besides you asking these questions…

“there should be someone besides you asking these questions…”

You are absolutely right, but apparently the anonymous bunch behind this have the media and their hip pockets and don’t want both sides of the story exposed.

Jean J posted in the Toxic Topic:

“what about the write up of the Mayor by the State Board of Accounts?”

What about it, are you perfect?

The information I think you are referring to is the State Board of Accounts audit of the City of Greensburg Annual Financial Report.

You are actually being slightly misleading again, it was really not a “write-up”, or a “write-up of the mayor” as you state. It was simply a comment in the “Audit Results and Comments” section of the report.  It is a public document, why don’t you ask for a copy? Here is a quote from the report:

OVERTIME PAID TO STREET COMMISSIONER

Mark Klosterkemper, Street Commissioner, was paid $484 in overtime pay during 2010. The City Council established the Street Commissioner position as an exempt employee. Section 3.16 of the City’s personnel policy states: “Exempt employees are exempt from specific provisions of federal and state wage and hour laws and are not entitled to overtime compensation or compensatory time off under specific provisions of federal and state laws.”

Each governmental unit is responsible for complying with the ordinances, resolutions, and policies it adopts. (Accounting and Uniform Compliance Guidelines Manual for Cities and Towns, Chapter 7)

Helen Gardner, President of the Common Council, and Gary L. Herbert, Mayor, stated that the City’s Personnel Policy Committee will meet to address this issue and take appropriate action.”

Klosterkemper worked on Lincoln Street after hours. The truth is Klosterkemper and the city engineer saved taxpayers thousands and perhaps hundreds of thousands of dollars on the Lincoln Street project.

The Mayor felt Klosterkemper deserved to be paid for work performed.  He is not perfect and Klosterkemper was paid and according to the audit he is an exempt employee and should not have been paid. If it were me I would have resolved the immediate issue by having Klosterkemper return the money and I would have given him $484 bucks out of my own pocket.

The Helen Gardner, the President of the Common Council and Gary L Herbert, Mayor, were quoted stating they would have the City’s Personnel Policy Committee address the issue and take appropriate action.

The Mayor has the right to ask the common council to change the policy and approve the payment, and the common council has the right to decline.  That’s Democracy. Where’s the beef?

Again I will ask are you perfect? Do you think you could work as the Mayor for 3 1/2 years and never make one mistake?

Just keep making mountains out of mole hills.

of course they may be sworn to “confidentiality” as well huh?!?

Jean Johannigman wrote on Toxic Topix:

“how about someone (the Media should be doing this) contacting Steve Simmonds and Linda Oldham (Board of Works members) to see who the employee was that they were so adamant should have a suspension without pay? could solve the pertinance of who they wanted to reprimand…. of course they may be sworn to “confidentiality” as well huh?!?”

It is impossible to make this much simpler.

The BOW members are bound by confidentiality concerning personnel matters.  Simmons and Oldham cannot discuss information concerning the executive session.

Mark Klosterkemper is not bound by confidentiality when the personnel matter involves him. He has the right to keep the disciplinary information private, and he has the right to discuss disciplinary action that pertains only to him.  Klosterkemper personally confirmed that there was a June meeting of the BOW that pertained to him. What more do you want? What reason would he have to lie about a disciplinary meeting concerning him?

Simmons and Oldham voted in favor of a one day suspension without pay for an employee, which is just a statement penalty (token). If Mark Klosterkemper is correct and the meeting did pertain to him, then I seriously doubt a one day suspension would have satisfied the complainant or her boss (“and it had better not just be a week or two”).

Push the “Easy Button…

First I would like to thank “Glenn Jeff Martin Beck” for providing all the cut and paste information and links about sexual harassment for all us “common” and “simple” people in the burg to make it easier for some of us to wrap our feeble brains around the subject matter.

Second to Jeff Martin, Jean Johannigman and bunch: sometimes simple is better. Everything does not have to be based on conspiracy, or violations of ethics and confidentiality.

After WISH TV released the story about Sieg’s EEOC complaint I made a few phone calls and verified the information was sent to them anonymously. Maybe the information I received is wrong, so everyone is free to make their own phone calls and see if they can refute the information I received. Let us know what you find out.

After the WISH TV story broke with its one-sided story  I realized the Mayor could not discuss the issue due to confidentiality, so I contacted the street commissioner.  I knew Klosterkemper was the one person that could discuss the incident and the discipline he received without violating any laws or confidentiality and we had a lengthy discussion (I live in Greensburg and haven’t spent the last three years trying to alienate him or get him fired so he was willing to talk to me).

I asked Klosterkemper if he put the “Happy Penis Massage Cream” on the computer tower (yes), if he was disciplined (yes), the type of discipline (written), the date of discipline (March and May), if the June meeting of the BOW pertained to his discipline (yes), and if the other allegations in the EEOC compliant were true (no).

If someone wants to contract the street commissioner to verify I spoke to him regarding the incident (possibly up to three times) then feel free to do so.

If people have all the information and still feel Mayor Herbert did not handle the situation properly, and don’t vote for him next week, then so be it.  But it is not fair for anyone to be judged based on one side of the story, and that is all the media has provided.
